MUSIC

Pacha Mamma is a Peruvian word meaning ‘Earth mother’, and it is also the band name for emerging Toowoomba musician’s Micka and Jani. Earthy, soulful, diverse and moving are words that have been used to describe the Pacha Mamma performance.

A fusion of reggae, blues, funk, folk, Pacha Mamma promises a musical tapestry of funky beats, heartfelt lyrics and an array of sounds from the Weissenborn, Resonator, six and twelve string guitars, Harmonica, Zyladrum, Cajon beat box and other percussion instruments including African drums.

Pacha Mamma’s Debut Album “Wake Up” has received airplay on JJJ, ABC radio amongst others and had 3 songs at no.1,3 and 4 on the roots charts. It has been an exciting year for them having done supporting shows for Custom Kings, 8 Ball Aitken and Neema(Canada).

These guys are a live act not to be missed, there raw talent, energetic grooves and good vibes leave you inspired and wanting more.

January later on...

WOOT WOOT! we just arrived back from our first ever Pacha Mamma Tour!

we actually never quite made it all the way to Townsville to play, as we were flooded in at Rockhampton! However we did 11 gigs in 3 weeks, I sacrificed my ailing Honda Odyssey for a mighty Ford Transit Bus along the way! Which was a totally unexpected change. I named the bus "Migloo" (after the white humpback whale).

We met many wonderful new friends on our travels, and have sold many more cds and secured many more gigs for the year!

OUR NEW FRIENDS AT THE HERITAGE HOTEL IN ROCKY HAVE BEEN AWESOME TO US!

NEW SONGS TO LISTEN OUT FOR...

"dONT BRING YOURSELF DOWN", "fOREVER cOUNTRY", "Not all Gone"
